Liturgy (a fancy word for our communal worship) means “the work of the people.” The only audience in our worship is God. We are all called to participate actively in worship through prayer, singing, listening, and reflecting.

In addition to these things practices everyone does during worship, some feel called to serve in these other ways:

Greeter

There is no formal list of greeters, nor are there any signups. All you need to do is come to worship and be friendly to guests and others, so that all feel welcome.

Liturgist

Liturgists help to lead worship by leading certain prayers and reading scripture.

Acolyte

Acolytes are often some of our youngest worship ministers. They light and extinguish the candles as a sign of God’s presence.

Media/Sound Operator

These techy people are responsible for controlling the soundboard in the sanctuary, as well as operating the visual projectors for prayers, hymns, etc.

Host

Hosts are our hospitality experts. They welcome folks as they come in the door, handing out worship bulletins. They assist people with directions, hearing devices, and can answer questions. They also help prep the Narthex and Sanctuary for worship, and do some clean up afterwards.

Music

Music is an integral part of our worship, and you can help! Join our choir, or offer to sing/play an instrument as special music in the summer or throughout the year.
