At their May session meeting on May 22, the Elders of LoveJoy United discerned how the congregation might respond to the immense need in St. Louis and specifically at Cote Brilliante Church. As a result of that discernment, LoveJoy United will give $5,000 to Cote Brilliante from its Matthew 25 Fund.
This service on the winter solstice (the longest night of the year) is a space for worship and community for those who are experiencing grief, doubt, illness, or pain this season. All, however, are welcome to attend. Please contact the church office if you’d like to arrange a ride for the service.
We’ll be selling furniture, appliances, tools, shoes, luggage, handbags, jewelry, kitchen items, seasonal decorations, children’s clothing, blue jeans of all sizes and anything else you can gather for us to sell!
Join us on our first church Bike Ride on June 29 in Edwardsville. Bikers will gather at 9:45 – but we invite others to join at 12:30 p.m. for the picnic.
The Offering distributes gifts equally to the Assistance Program of the Board of Pensions and to Presbyterian-related schools and colleges equipping communities of color.
Check out the amazing books – both fiction and nonfiction – our book club will be reading in the next year!
Come shop our Christmas Bake Sale! All proceeds benefit our Good Samaritan Fund, which directly helps our neighbors in crisis.
The Session has called a congregational meeting for Nov. 19 for the purpose of voting on two important items of business.
Bring a dish and join us for a potluck on Jan 29 after the Annual Congregational Meeting to meet your deacon and others in your care group. The main meat dishes will be provided.
