Who: LoveJoy UPC Cyclists & Friends – Please INVITE others to join our group! (for the bike ride or just for the PICNIC LUNCH)
WHAT: Casual slow-paced bicycle ride (with frequent stops) to enjoy the scenery on the MCT Trails in the Edwardsville area. (NOTE: Trails will allow everyone to ride the planned route or any amount.)
NON-BIKERS: Those NOT wanting to join in the bike ride can meet at the Park Pavilion for a picnic lunch.
WHEN: June 29, 2024, Saturday, with a 10:00 a.m. starting time (PLEASE ARRIVE BY 9:45 A.M.)
WHERE: The Madison County Transit Trails are rails-to-trails stretching through Edwardsville. From the Township Park the Nickel Plate Trail connects to the Goshen & Heritage Trails for our planned ten (10) mile ride. (NOTE: more or less miles desired can be decided that day.)
PARKING: Parking lot in Edwardsville at the Township Community Park (address 6368 Center Grove Road)
PICNIC LUNCH: 12:30 p.m. at Pavilion #4 in the Township Community Park (see address above.) Pulled Pork will be ordered at a recommended cost of $ 5.00/person donation. PLEASE bring a side or dessert IF YOU WISH to share with the group.
