Participants in our Courageous Conversation series heard from Judge Duane Bailey as we discussed how the Civil Rights movement unfolded in Alton and the larger Riverbend community.

Judge Bailey has served as Associate Circuit Judge of the 3rd Judicial Circuit, Assistant State’s Attorney in Madison County, Director of Student Legal Services for SIUE. in addition being an active member of Unity Fellowship Church in Godfrey, Bailey has served with Madison County Urban League, United Way, NAACP, Metro East Bar Association, and The Affordable Housing Corporation.
