Summer of Prophets: Elijah
This summer, we are reading through the Old Testament prophets. In the words of Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel, “A prophet’s true greatness is his ability to hold God and man in a single thought.” These ancestors of faith saw the world through the very eyes of God. And the words of these men – and women! – continually call us back to faithful obedience to the God who created us, saves us, and sustains us.
